The following short courses and full qualification are available for onsite group training. Training is delivered via a blended delivery mode which consists of online assessments and face to face practical demonstration.

CPR Course:

  • HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulomary resuscitation

Those enrolling into this course will learn how to effectively provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation in emergency situations. Learning outcomes include:

  • How to administer CPR on infants and adults
  • Responding to emergency situations
  • Communicating incident details to emergency services
  • Reviewing the incident

First Aid and CPR Course:

  • HLTAID011 Provide first aid
  • HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Those enrolling into this course will learn key first aid skills in emergency situations. Learning outcomes include:

  • How to administer CPR on infants and adults
  • Responding to emergency situations
  • Applying first aid procedures and guidelines
  • Providing a handover to emergency services
  • Reviewing the incident and debriefing

Individual Investment: $170

Group Investment (up to 15 learners): $1750

Remote First Aid Course:

  • HLTAID013 Provide first aid in a remote or isolated site
  • HLTAID011 Provide first aid
  • HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Clients can book just remote first aid or add CPR and first aid to their booking depending upon their training requirements.

Those enrolling into this course will learn key first aid skills when working in remote and isolated sites. Learning outcomes include:

  • How to administer CPR on infants and adults
  • Preparing communication and first aid equipment specific to remote/isolated sites
  • Applying first aid procedures
  • Supplementing first aid equipment with natural or man made equipment as required
  • Preparing and coordinating for an evacuation of a casualty
  • Communicating with emergency/external services
  • Reviewing the incident and debriefing

Operate and Recover 4WD Course:

  • FWPCOT3325 Operate four wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads
  • FWPCOT3326 Recover four wheel drive vehicle

 

Those enrolling into this course will learn key skills to operate and recover a four wheel drive vehicle. Learning outcomes include:

  • Preparing a vehicle for operation
  • Operating a vehicle on unsealed roads, including descending and ascending slopes no greater than 15 degrees
  • Determining the gross vehicle load, recovery gear ratings and equipment serviceability related to 4WD recovery 
  • Planning a 4WD recovery
  • A range of recovery techniques and equipment 
  • Post use inspections and reports 
  • Preparing and coordinating for an evacuation of a casualty
  • Communicating with emergency/external services
  • Reviewing the incident and debriefing

  • HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy

Those enrolling into this full qualification will learn valueable skills in the provision of care to patients by providing basic first aid and emergency responses.

Those enrolling will learn a range of skills, including, but not limited to:

  • providing basic and advanced first aid, as well as advanced resuscitation using oxygen therapy
  • understanding basic anatomy and physiology to be able to identify healthy body systems
  • recognising and managing personal stressors in the work environment
  • complying with WHS and applying basic practices and principles of infection prevention
  • working with diverse people
  • learning the fundamentals of medical terminology and being able to apply appropriately

Theory commitment: Approx. 50+ hours (varies between learners)

Practical commitment: 5 days
