The Emergency Australia Certificate II in Medical Service First Response, is an intensive practical course, enabling course graduates entry into a wide range of first responder roles. We spend 5 days in an urban location and 2 days remote with an overnight stay.

In order prepare students for real world emergencies, we have made this course hands on and scenario intensive with a focus on both urban and remote settings. As an Emergency Australia student, you will be immersed in scenarios using high fidelity manikins and skills stations to build your confidence and capability as a first responder.
Units of study:
During this course students will undertake 4 core units and 5 electives consisting of:
Core:
CHCDIV001 – Work with diverse people
HLTAID003 – Provide first aid
HLTINF001 – Comply with infection prevention and control policies and procedures
HLTWHS001 – Participate in workplace health and safety
Electives:
HLTAAP002 – Confirm physical health status
HLTAID005 – Provide first aid in remote situations
HLTAID007 – Provide advanced resuscitation
PUAEME005 – Provide pain management
HLTWHS006 – Manage personal stressors in the work environment
Delivery:
7 days face to face:
5 days in an urban environment and 2 days remote with an overnight stay.
