Smart and Skilled
Smart and Skilled is available to individuals that meet the eligibility criteria where training is subsidised by the NSW Government.
- Lives or works in NSW (determined by postcode of the usual place of residence or place of work); or
- An Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander learner who does not live or work in NSW but lives in specific defined interstate NSW border areas; and
- Is:
- An Australian citizen, or
- A permanent Australian resident, or
- A New Zealand citizen, or
- A humanitarian visa holder or partner visa holder whose sponsor is a humanitarian visa holder; and
- Is aged 15 years old or over, and
- No longer in secondary education – except for registered home school students.

In 2013 Emergency Australia was established, with the objective of combining the unique skills and experiences of military veterans, with civilian emergency service personnel. By combining these skills, experiences and geographic locations, a truly unique and holistic service could be delivered across the Asia pacific region.
AgSkilled
AgSkilled is a government-funded training program under NSW Smart and Skilled which aims to provide individuals working in or who are looking to work in the agricultural industry skills and qualifications they need to succeed in the workforce.
Emergency Australia is an approved AgSkilled training provider for a number of units of competency.
