AgSkilled is a NSW government-funded program administered under Smart and Skilled, which helps those working or looking to work in the agricultural industry to gain access to subsidised training that assists them with obtaining in-demand skills to meet industry needs.

Units of Competency Available
We are currently able to deliver training for the following units of competency:
- AHCINF205 Carry out basic electric fencing operations
- AHCINF206 Install, maintain and repair farm fencing
- FWPCOT2254 Maintain chainsaws
- FWPCOT2273 Trim and cut felled trees
- FWPCOT2275 Fell trees manually (basic)
- FWPCOT3301 Trim trees using a pole saw
- FWPCOT3325 Operate four wheel drive vehicle on unsealed roads
- FWPCOT3326 Recover four wheel drive vehicle
- HLTAID013 Provide first aid in remote or isolated site

1. Eligibility Criteria & Certified Documents

Certified copies are required. Justices of the Peace or similar can be utilised to certify your documentation. Feel free to use the NSW Government’s Find a JP webpage. Alternatively, we can arrange for a Zoom or similar meeting to sight your originals.
2. Student Information & Policies
Before you proceed with your enrolment, you should take note of the following Student Information, all of which are viewable here:
- Fee information: Refer to the Fees and Refunds Policy and the Smart and Skilled Fee Administration Policy.
- Consumer Protection: Refer to the Complaints and Appeals Policy and Procedure.
- Third party information: Emergency Australia does not engage third parties for any part of its training, recruitment, or administration.
- RPL & Credit Transfer: Refer to the Application and Enrolment Policy and the Assessment Policy.
- Deferring or discontinuing: Refer to the Variation, Withdrawal and Cancellation Policy.
- Support access & contacts: Refer to the Learner Handbook, Access and Equity Policy, and Learner Support Policy.
3. Notification of Enrolment
Once you have read the Student Information and supplied eligibility evidence, the following process must be followed:
- Consent: Provide consent to use your personal information.
- Provider Calculator: We will use the Smart and Skilled Provider Calculator to confirm eligibility, credit transfers, and generate the Fee Chargeable and Subsidy.
- Notification of Enrolment Report: We will generate and retain this report.
- Prospective Learner Declaration: You must sign and return a declaration confirming you have provided accurate information, are not concurrently enrolled for the same units elsewhere, and have received fee details.

4. Unique Student Identifier (USI)
The USI is a 10 digit alphanumeric number that consolidates all nationally recognised training you have undertaken since 01/01/2015. It stays with you for life.

To create a USI:
Click here to create a USI. You will need acceptable identification (e.g., Australian passport, driver’s licence, Medicare card).
Permissions: As you are applying for subsidised training, you must set your USI permissions to allow Emergency Australia and the NSW Department access to your USI record.

5. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) & Support
You must advise if you are applying for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT). Refer to our policies here.
- RPL: We will send an RPL Application Form/Kit. Note that RPL is an assessment process and all competency requirements must be met.
- Credit Transfer: You must send through your USI VET Transcript. If training was recently completed, provide a Statement of Attainment or Record of Results.
